1. Scope of this document

This page governs your use of the Scraper Engine marketing site and enquiry process, and the standard terms under which a Scraper Engine build is delivered once commissioned. The signed statement of work you receive before work begins takes precedence over this page where the two differ.

2. What is delivered

A Scraper Engine build is custom software: rate-limited, resilient data collection against the target site(s), fields, and delivery destination agreed at scoping. Deliverables, fixed price, and delivery date are confirmed in writing before work begins.

2.1 Ownership

You own the data your instance collects and the deployed instance itself, from the moment of delivery. Aeterna AI Architects retains ownership of the underlying reusable scraping infrastructure, selector logic, and anti-block tooling used to build it.

2.2 Acceptable use and scope discipline

  1. We only build against publicly accessible data. We decline scope involving login-gated systems (unless you own the account), restricted data, or government/regulated sources.
  2. You are responsible for ensuring your use of collected data complies with the terms of the site(s) scraped and applicable law in your jurisdiction — we build the collection tool, you determine the lawful use of what it collects.
  3. You will not attempt to resell the underlying engine as your own competing scraping product without a separate licensing agreement.

2.3 Warranty and liability

We warrant the delivered software matches the agreed scope and functions as specified at handoff. We do not guarantee indefinite immunity from anti-bot changes on third-party sites — a target site can change its structure or defenses after delivery, which may require a follow-up adjustment. Our liability for any claim arising from a delivered build is capped at the amount paid for that build; we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including losses from a target site blocking or rate-limiting a delivered scraper.

2.4 Post-delivery changes

Adjustments required by a target site's layout or defense changes are chargeable per the rate agreed at scoping, unless covered by an active support agreement.

3. Privacy Policy

3.1 What we collect on this site

This marketing site does not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or fingerprinting. The only data we receive is what you submit through a contact channel to scope a build, used exclusively to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote — never sold or shared with third parties.

3.2 What the delivered software does with data

A deployed Scraper Engine instance sends results only to the destination(s) you configure — your webhook, your CRM, your dashboard. We do not retain a standing copy of scraped data, and we do not have standing access to your deployed instance beyond a specific, time-boxed support task you grant.

3.3 Your rights

If you have contacted us and want your enquiry data deleted, corrected, or exported, email us through the channel you used to place your order. We act on such requests within a reasonable timeframe, consistent with GDPR-style access/rectification/erasure principles regardless of your jurisdiction.

3.4 Sub-processors and international transfer

If AI-assisted parsing is part of your build, a delivered instance routes that step through the LLM provider you choose (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini, under your own account) — your sub-processor, not ours. The target site(s) scraped are not a sub-processor relationship; they are a public data source. Where your chosen provider processes data outside your jurisdiction, its own Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanism applies.

3.5 Data Processing Agreement

A Data Processing Agreement covering the enquiry-stage data described in 3.1 is available on request for enterprise engagements.

4. Scraper Engine in the Aeterna ecosystem

Scraper Engine runs standalone against any target you scope, but its output is built to slot directly into the other Aeterna AI Architects modules — feeding tracked listings into Match Engine's scoring, or logged content into Content Factory's pipeline — without a bespoke integration each time. Running it alone requires none of this.

5. Contact

For any legal, contractual, or privacy question about a specific build, reach out through the channel you used to place your order.
